COMPULSORY SUMMER MEMBERSHIP & INSURANCE FEE
Any child who is not a current member of Sugarloaf Gymnastics must have this included with their booking. If looking to book one or more camps/classes it is only needed to be booked once as it is valid for July & August. This fee is per child. This can be seen as the first option in the drop down menu in the payments section.
Camps Age 4+ 1pm – 4pm (Mon – Thurs)
Camps cater for children aged 4 to 15 years of age from beginners to experienced gymnasts. For beginners camps are a great way to have fun and to try the wonderful sport of gymnastics out. For experienced gymnasts camps are a great way to get that extra bit of training in to help improve their skill level and work to get closer to achieving their gymnastics goals! Gymnasts will work on all apparatus in the gym. Children will be grouped together by age and experience level in order to allow the best possible progress, challenge and enjoyment from camp.
Camp begins with a group warm up and stretch to prepare the gymnasts for the day ahead where they will work on Floor, Vault, Bars, Beam and Fast Track (trampoline). In the middle gymnasts will have a snack break to replenish their energy! As with our classes, our camps are progressive with lots of new skill development happening throughout every day at camp, every day is fun, different and never the same!

Mini Gym Camp (Ages 4 & 5)
For boys & girls age 4 and 5, beginner and experienced gymnasts will develop their gymnastics skills and build confidence in a fun environment. We provide a safe environment and stimulating indoor adventure playground, which fuels children’s minds & bodies. Through playful physical activities, gymnastics provides children with the opportunity to build their confidence, self- esteem and creativity, whilst improving their physical abilities such as co-ordination. Gymnastics is great fun – turning upside down and learning new skills and tricks is part of every child’s nature!

TEEN FITNESS CLASS
Exercise at any age is important and just as important in young adults a strong body = a strong mind. This new class is a chance for teenagers to keep fit in a fun gymnastics environment. We will combine cardio, strength, conditioning and flexibility for a fun workout and also using some gymnastics equipment along the way. Gymnasts are renowned for having incredibly strong core muscles and with gymnastics being the basis for all sports this class is perfect for athletes from all disciplines. Suitable for boys and girls age 11+.

GYMABLE ADDITIONAL NEEDS CLASS
Gymnastics is an inclusive sport and in this class our coaches will work to adapt activities around your childs physical, sensory and learning requirements. So whether it’s the fast track or the bars, whatever it is your child wants to try out, let them find out what they are capable of! Once you have booked we will contact you to discuss the class further and understand how we can best adapt our gymnastics classes to your childs requirements. Children can be assisted in class by parents. Numbers are small, so places are very limited. Suitable for children age 5 – 12 years old. We will contact you for more information once you have booked in. Please note more classes may be added in August.

WEEKLY SUMMER CLASSES
Has your child wanted to try gymnastics and you are apprehensive about signing up for a term as you are unsure if they will like it? These once off weekly classes are the perfect way to introduce children to gymnastics! Book 1 class, book 4, it’s up to you!
Gymnastics teaches the fundamental movement and sports skills that are at the core of every other sport. Fundamental movement skills include skills like climbing, swinging, balancing and landing. It develops the ABCs of athleticism: agility, balance, coordination and speed.Children can swing on the bars, jump on the trampoline, learn a cartwheel or a handstand! Artistic gymnastics is an amazing sport to be involved in, whether you are a beginner, a gymnast with previous experience or a current member hoping to improve your skills, we’ve got a class for you!

All kids love swinging out of the bars! Our bars class will work on developing basic bar skills and strength. We will cover swings, up-hip circles and back hip circles during this class.
A focus in upstarts, the key but tricky skill for advancing a basic bar routine. This workshop is not for beginners but for gymnasts who already have a relative amount of experience.

This class is designed for our younger children who lack confidence working on beam. We will concentrate on building balance and confidence through games and fun.
This class builds confidence on beam working on all the basic drills & skills needed to be confident beam worker. We will cover leaps, jumps, handstands, cartwheels and dismounts.
This class will develop all areas needed to progress walkovers from floor to beam safely and with confidence. To attend gymnasts must already be able to comfortably and confidently do Back Walkover on the floor. Not suitable for beginners.

A chance to focus solely on this very important gymnastics skill, if gymnasts master the cartwheel they will move on to work round off’s, giving them the essential link skill to a round off back handspring! A strong cartwheel on floor will be easy to do on the beam.
Handstands are one of the most popular gymnastics skills, from the playground to Crossfit every child and teen want to be able to hold a handstand! This class will help build strength and balance in all variations of handstand. We’ll break handstands down and scale them back to build them back up to a perfect handstand hold.
Front & Back Walkovers
Gymnasts will have the opportunity to focus solely on learning and improving their forward and backward walkover skills. Walkovers are key to learning the much sought after forward & back handsprings, we recommend taking both classes
Back & Front Handsprings
The number one skill all gymnasts want to achieve is the back flip! Our coaches will help gymnasts get closer to mastering that all important and most desired skill! Flip workshop will cover both forward and backward tumbling skills such as front handsprings, back flips and front somersaults! Tumbling is built on a framework of skill development—one leading to the next. Everything will be broken down into all the fundamental shapes and pre requisites needed to master these cool skills and we will strip away those bad habits learned at home on trampolines all in the safest learning environment possible!

Fit Family Classes
Parents & Children can exercise together! After a fun warm up to get heart rates up children will have some fun with our coaches on our apparatus developing gymnastics skills while parents work on strength, conditioning, mobility and flexibility. We aim to cater for all levels of fitness in this fun and interesting new class. Prices are €12 for adults and €5 for children participating.
Children must be aged 4 to attend or be aged 3 and have already attended classes with us this year. Non participating infants who will be in car seats/prams are welcome to attend while Mum or Dad exercise. Unfortunately we cannot facilitate participating infants younger than the ages listed at this time. Classes will run through July & August, dates for July are available to book now.
Booking may seem a little tricky so let us guide you! Ensure to pick the correct class date.

Parent & Child Sessions
Due to popular demand Parent & Child sessions will run throughout the summer. These weekly sessions provide parents and young children with a stimulating play environment that is the key to starting children on the sporting pathway and getting them active for life. A good pre-school gym experience can provide social, physical, lingual & intellectual, creative & emotional awareness and improve concentration, competence & confidence. It also sets children firmly on the path to being active for life whilst playing in the safe gymnastics environment. The sessions are a great way to spend quality time with your child, the time improves bonding between child and parents through exercise and play in a safe and stimulating gymnastic environment! Coaches will be on hand to assist parents to ensure everything is safe, but how long and which apparatus the gymnast goes to is up to them and the parent! Suitable for children from a couple of months to 4 years old – crawlers, furniture surfers to walkers!
To ensure that we are not over booked, you must pre-register (free) prior to attending, payment of €5 per child attending is made at the training centre in cash (no cards accepted). Book into the session date to pre-register.
All children attending must have Non-Member Compulsory membership booked. This is an insurance fee and the payment for the first class. Members who have already paid this since September 2018 do not have to pay this again, you are covered until 31st August 2019. Please note the fee must be paid for any child who enters through the drop off area and will be on any of the equipment, including matting. Babies are welcome to stay in a car seat or a sling.
