We are delighted to announce that Sugarloaf Gymnastics has been selected as the winner of the “Club Governance” award as part of the 2017 Gymnastics Ireland National Awards.

Irish Sport HQ, Dublin: Following a meeting by our 2017 Awards Panel, Gymnastics Ireland are pleased to announce the winners of 21 awards for the 2017 National Awards. The Awards Panel consisted of Ciaran Gallagher, CEO Gymnastics Ireland; Andrew Coulter, Board Member and Sarah O’Connor, Head of Sport WHPR.

Given the high standard of nominees in some of the categories of the awards, the Awards Panel alone decided on these award winners;Club Governance Award: Sugarloaf GC
The Gymnastics Ireland Club Governance award is awarded to a club that has demonstrated the implementation of good governance principles to ensure the ongoing development of their club. Factors considered in being selected for this award include:
- Club governance structure
- Future best practice governance developments planned
- Achievements over the period
- Significance of achievements
The awards will be presented at a ceremony in Dublin on November 18th.
