Members! It’s that time of year again, summer is over and everyone is back into their usual routine! We are delighted to once again see so many of our members returning, the 2018 – 2019 gymnastics season was fantastic (read all about it here!) and we endeavour that 2019-2020 will be even better! We must extend a very warm welcome to our new members and we look forward to getting to know you.
We have compiled the following information as reminders for our returning members and need to know info for new members.
Where are we?
Unit C2 Network Enterprise Park Kilcoole. It is on the same road as Colaiste Craobh Abhann secondary school.
Parking
Parking for members is only permitted in parking spaces which bare the Sugarloaf Gymnastics logo on the wall in front of them. Parking is not allowed in the neighbouring units particularly PWL next door and AJ Products. Fill spaces up from the back of the building first, don’t immediately go to the front for parking and wait for a space to become free. Please respect this very important rule – you may be asked by a member of staff to move your car if you park incorrectly.

Pick Ups & Drops Offs
Must be swift – a very quick drop and go. Gymnasts are to be dropped off no more than 5 mins before class, we cannot be responsible for gymnast dropped early. We understand that family lives are very busy – if you need to drop off early this must be agreed in writing with Jamie jamie[@]sugarloafgymnastics.ie please note that this cannot be on a regular basis, we are not in a position to do this. Late pick ups are also not permitted, particularly at the end of the evening. If you will be late please text the gym phone: 087 3849249. Please note that this phone number is only to be used if you are running late.
So as to maximise the space for equipment in the training centre we have small drop off/collection area, we do not have space or the parking spaces for parents/guardians to wait in the training centre. We have years of experience in coaching and know that the best response from children of all ages is received when parents do not stay to watch so for this reason we have a drop & go policy, please do not be offended if we ask you to head off, you’ll be surprised how even the shyest child opens up in class with gymnastics equipment around! Parents will have the chance to come and watch their children do their gymnastics in both December and June.
What to Bring to Class
As little as possible, the fewer items and people that are in the drop off area, the quicker drop offs and collections can take place! Shoes that can easily be slipped on and off such as flip flops are handy and a drink of water is always recommended. Please ensure children go to the toilet before class as this can be very disruptive to our classes.
Feedback Cards
We look forward to our September 2019 season when we will finally be introducing our Tumble Track Feedback Report Cards. As gymnastics is a complex sport we have been working on this program for over 2 years and wanted to have it just right before releasing it. Gymnasts will be assigned a level and each term they will work to achieve a level and hopefully move onto the next level. The program will enable parents/gymnasts to track the gymnasts progress through report cards which will be taken home at the end of term/level.

Our primary source of communication is by email, texts are only sent in the event of a short notice class cancellation. If you wish to receive reminders of dates off ensure to check our pages and also sign up to the mailing list on our website homepage, you will then receive an email for every post that goes into our news section.
