Over 40 gymnasts represented Sugarloaf Gymnastics at the National Level 2-10 and 3- 9+ Individual Apparatus Championships last weekend, January 20th and 21st at the National Indoor Arena in Blanchardstown.
Between our Squad girls and our Competitive Advanced Recreation girls, ranging in age from 7 to 16 year old, they brought home over 20 medals in the competitions which saw very high levels of gymnastics on display. We saw some brilliant performances, great improvements in skills, focus and determination, skills, routines and levels competed for the first time. Mistakes were made, lessons will be learned and we will only use these experiences to get better and better! The girls had fantastic attitudes and we are very proud of every girl who competed representing Sugarloaf. It was a different competition format than usual and all gymnasts were thrilled to be able to warm up their routines in the National Gymnastics Training Centre. There are some fantastic photos of our gymnasts on the Gymnastics Ireland Facebook page.
