We have put together the following information from the most frequently asked questions to give you all you need to know ahead of attending class in September – a handy lot of info for new members and a refresher for our returning members.
Class Specifics
What day/time is my child’s class on at?
As you can imagine having a lot of members keeps us very busy, with this we cannot reply to every request asking for reminders. It is easy to find out in 2 ways:
- Search “Sugarloaf Gymnastics” in your email inbox (of the address that was used to book the place). A receipt from “NoReply” will pop up, click in and the time and day is listed there.
- Visit Easy Payments Plus, login using the email address and details you used to create the account. Hover over “My Account” in the top right corner, click “Payment History”, your items will show with the day, time and class booked.
What are the term dates?
All new terms start from Saturday 2nd September. First days of term are below:
- Saturday: 2nd September
- Monday: 4th September
- Tuesday: 5th September
- Wednesday: 6th September
- Thursday: 7th September
- Friday: 8th September
You will always find the term dates on our calendar here. If a class is not on, the calendar will state “No Classes” in red, otherwise class is on. Click into each day’s entry to view term dates and the full information. Please make a note of these dates in your diaries, we do not send out reminders via email or text.
What should I bring?
As pick up and drop off times are extremely busy, we recommend bringing as little as possible with you. Many of our members opt to bring flip flops to make things a little easier. Gymnasts can bring a drink to class.
What to do on the first day?
Check your childs details with our coaches to ensure that we have them on our class lists. Place all belongings neatly in a locker or on the bench and go onto the floor mats in preparation for warm up. We take a full roll call and split into groups after warm up. Parents should head off and leave the rest to our coaches.
What to wear
We recommend a leotard for girls, but this is not mandatory. Girls can wear leggings and a tshirt, hair must be tied back before coming to class (this is not part of the coaches role). No jewellery is permitted. Boys can wear shorts, fitted tracksuit bottoms and a tshirt. Leotards can be found easily online – we recommend Quattro, Milano and The Zone. We also sell our own Sugarloaf Leotards, shorts and leggings which can be purchased in the gym. Please be ready to go when arriving into class, we understand that some children arrive directly from school, while we do not have dedicated changing facilities in the interest of child protection, please change your child in the 2 bathrooms available.
Pick Up & Drop Off
All classes are drop and go, no parents/guardians are permitted to stay. It has been proven that a much better response from children is possible when a parent is not present. We do not have the space or parking for parents to remain in the gym.
For Health and Safety and for Child protection reasons, no gymnasts are to be dropped off more than 5 minutes ahead of class time without permission from staff. This also applies to other children – please do not leave them in the gym to watch, we cannot be responsible for them.
Arriving too early will cause congestion to parking. Gymnasts must be picked up on time as our coaches have other classes to teach or the gym may be closing. If you will be late to pick up your gymnast text 087 7466132. Please note that this phone number is only to be used if you are running late.
How can I see / know what my gymnast has been learning?
There are 2 opportunities to do this. The first is during the second term in the week leading up to Christmas. The second is at the end of June. Notification of this is generally given by note in class or via email. If you have a query regarding your gymnasts progress, email Jamie[@]sugarloafgymnastics.ie or sharon[@]sugarloafgymnastics.ie with their full name, class day and time. We cannot facilitate discussion on a childs progress during class time.

Parking spaces in the business park are limited, each company has been assigned spaces for their customers. Our parking spaces are clearly labelled with “Sugarloaf Gymnastics Parking” signage, 6 to the front, 10 to the side, 2 to the back and the yellow box – use all spaces. If all spaces are taken, do a loop around until one becomes free and be aware if you park in the space of another company our staff will ask you to move your car. Please be very aware of other vehicles and people in the business park.
Upon booking your gymnasts place, 2 important questions were asked, which you must select “yes” to agree to before continuing your booking.
1) I understand I can only park in Sugarloaf Gymnastics labelled parking spaces
2) I agree not to park in any other parking spaces
Failure to comply with parking rules will result in termination of membership.
Business Park Etiquette
We are located in an industrial estate / business park. There are trucks, vans and forklifts moving about making deliveries and moving stock within the other units. It is not a place for the following: dog walking, ball playing, skate boarding, roller blading / skating, scooters, bikes, running around / game playing, noise disturbances, children playing etc. Please hold your gymnasts hand & keep them close to you to avoid any accidents – children should not be running around corners/across the road unaccompanied. It is imperative that all of our gymnasts and their families are safe, to ensure this please comply with the above and please do not be offended if our staff ask for any of the above to be stopped. Failure to comply will result in termination of membership.
