Our Skill Specific Workshops are for July are now available to book! Due to the nature of the skills for these workshops there are set age limits and these are only available for current members to book. Places are limited to 10 gymnasts per workshop. More workshops will be available to book soon for both non members and members so keep an eye out!
Round Off & Back Handspring Preparation Workshop
When: 9th July 1.40 – 3.10pm
Age limit: age 8+
Suitable only for current members
The workshop will focus on the primarily on the Round Off which is an important and powerful moved needed to be mastered correctly in order to build up speed to do multiple back handsprings. Gymnasts will also work on the essential strengthening and shaping for the back handspring on floor. We’ll work towards piecing the perfect Round Off and Back Handspring together getting closer to fully achieving the skills. A follow on from this workshop would be booking into the Back and Front Handspring Workshop.
Front & Back Handspring Preparation Work Shop
When: 16th July 1.40 – 3.10pm
Age limit: age 8+
Suitable only for current members
This workshop will focus on the essential preparation skills, strengthening and shaping in order to perform both Front and Back Handsprings. Similar to the Round Off the Front Handspring can become a tool to build up power before performing other cool skills like somersaults!
Front & Back Walkover Preparation Work Shop
When: 23rd July 1.40 – 3.10pm
Age limit: age 7+ (girls only)
Suitable only for current members
Front and Back Walkovers are beautiful, graceful skills which require a lot of time and patience as well as shoulder, leg and back flexibility. In this workshop we will work being comfortable in and improving the Bridge shape as well as dropping backwards onto the hands. Once gymnasts master their walkovers they can then work towards putting them on the Beam!
Front Somersault Preparation Work Shop
When: 30th July 1.40 – 3.10pm
Age limit: age 8+
Suitable only for current members
Every gymnast wants to be able to perform a front somersault! In this work shop we will break it down, learning how to create power to be able to perform this cool skill! It is best that children learn skills like the front somersault by trained and qualified professionals rather than on their trampoline at home!
